Vintage and estate dealers need diamonds that look right in an old mounting: a high crown, a small table, a visible culet and the soft, blocky light of hand-cut diamonds. Guru Diam supplies old mine cut lab-grown diamonds and other antique cuts wholesale, for replacing a missing center, matching a damaged side diamond or building new rings in an antique style.

Antique and old-cut shapes we stock

Our antique range includes Old Miner (also called old mine cut or antique cushion), Euro Cut (old European cut), Rose, Moval, Kite, Shield, Hexagon and Criss cut, alongside fancy colors. See them at antique cuts and fancy colors wholesale and in our exotic and fancy shapes. The old mine cut vs old European cut guide shows how to tell the two apart in an estate piece, and the criss cut guide covers that newer step cut.

Repairs, replacements and matching

Estate work often means matching one diamond to another that is already in the piece. Send the measurements and a photo and we look for a match in stock. If nothing fits, we can cut to your specification, with custom cutting from 0.50 carat. For pairs, our matched pairs are matched within 0.1 to 0.2 mm and about one color grade.

Old mine cut lab-grown diamond prices

Antique cuts take longer to cut and lose more rough, so they trade at roughly three to four times the per-carat price of a round of the same size. Our Lab-Grown Diamond Price Index lists current trade ranges for Old Miner, Hexagon, Criss and Kite next to rounds. For a dealer, that premium is the margin: a certified old mine cut still reads as rare to a vintage buyer.

Certification and disclosure

Our antique-cut lab-grown diamonds come with IGI or GCAL reports, so you can disclose them correctly when they go into an estate-style piece. Natural antique cuts are sourced on request.
