Are these stones certified?
Melee ships as parcel goods, sieve-graded by size and colour/clarity band rather than stone-by-stone — that's the trade standard at this size, and it's what keeps the per-carat price where it is. Parcel-level documentation is available on request. Loose natural stones from 0.30 ct up ship with IGI or GIA reports.
Natural or lab-grown?
Everything on this list is natural. We also grow and stock CVD lab-grown melee, including fancy colour, on a separate list — say the word and the desk will send that instead.
How exact is the piece count?
Treat it as a working estimate. Parcels are sold and invoiced by weight, and stones-per-carat shifts with cut proportions inside the same sieve band. Order 3–5% over what the design calls for; setters break stones, and matching a band later costs more than buying it now.
Can I get a matched parcel?
Yes. Tell us the design and we'll pull for consistency of size and colour across the parcel rather than just the band average — the same service we run for calibrated layouts and matched pairs.
How fast can I get it?
Same-day dispatch on orders confirmed before 6:00 pm ET from New York or 4:00 pm PT from Los Angeles, FedEx Priority Overnight and fully insured. Counter pick-up is available at both offices if you schedule ahead.
Do you offer memo terms?
Yes, for qualified trade buyers. Memo applications are reviewed in one to two business days, and both short-term and long-term memo are available depending on the stage of the relationship.
Can melee ship with the rest of my order?
Yes — melee consolidates with certified loose, antique cuts, fancy colour, or a finished custom piece. One shipment, one invoice, one insurance declaration.
Do you sell to the public?
No. Guru Diam is a business-to-business supplier, and around 80% of our accounts are independent jewellers and boutique designers. Pricing, stock lists and the ordering portal are released once business credentials are confirmed. There is no minimum account size.
